R& Z coach tours was established in 1996 to provide a service to the local industry by offering transport for shift workers. Its customer base consisted of large corporate companies, namely, Tongaat Hulett Sugar, a sugar milling and cane growing company and Voermol feeds, an animal feeds company. We are currently still contracted to these companies, but identifying a need in the tourism sector for professional transfers, R & Z chose to diversify and enter the tourism industry.

The entry into the tourism industry soon opened another door, and Siyabonga travel was found, a leg of R&Z that would provide a ‘tour’ services to major hotels in the Durban and surrounding areas. An opportunity to be attached to one of the leading hotels on the north coast arose when Zimbali lodge decided to outsource their transfers and tour desk. Based on the reputation already earned in the industry, R&Z were appointed as the official service provider to Zimbali lodge.

Both companies are members of TKZN, the tourism authority of KwaZulu-Natal and utilize professional guides and drivers. We have our own fleet of air-conditioned vehicles ranging from Condors to a luxury BMW available for VIP transfers. We also offer a meet and greet service at Durban International Airport that insures that guests feel welcome from the minute they step off the plane.

Siyabonga tours are a Black Empowered Company, and over 90% of its employees are of colour. Siyabonga strives in providing job opportunities within its local community, and thus improving the quality of living for previously disadvantaged families.
